Firstly lets talk about the Sprint at Clay Pigeon.
Many thanks go to:- Andy Street for organising The Mutley Sprint, Vic Fancy for Clerking the Mutley Sprint and the 14 Mutley Marshals who braved the elements. Thank you all.

In the mixed weather, a total of 66 cars ran in an event that managed to include all the drivers on the reserve list.
Unsurprisingly it was the Racing Car classes that were setting the quickest times. FTD was the first timed run by Ben Bonfield in the 998cc Jedi. All the times slowed as the weather changed.

Full results are on the website.

As has already been widely publicised the Challenger Stages at Bovington has had to be cancelled. Without confirmation from the Landowner that the venue would be available, combined with the long lead time required to organise a Stage Rally, the decision was made that we were not able to run. Obviously this is a major disappointment for all. Hopefully it will be back in 2022.

Interestingly, on 12th October, Extreme E announced that it would be holding “the Jurassic X Prix” at Bovington on 18-19th December.

Extreme E uses all electric off-road buggies, recharged by hydrogen fuel cells. Extreme E visits many parts of the World with rounds in Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Greenland, Sardinia and now Dorset. Drivers include Carlos Sainz, Timmy Hansen and Sebastien Loeb so its a big high profile Championship.  All the kit is transported around the globe on board a dedicated ship, the St Helena and presumably this will be docking at Weymouth.

But far more importantly, the Challenger Stages at Bovington on 14th November has been cancelled! That’s probably enough said now!!

The next event will be the Opener Slalom at Blandford on 7th November organised by your truly.
The regs are on the website for a day of 18 easy all forwards tests. Bring along your partner’s/neighbour’s shopping car and have a run, they won’t notice the cars missing.
Closing date for entries is Tuesday 2nd November. That is 3 days time!

We are down to the final two events for 2021 :-
7th November.  Opener Slalom at Blandford.
5th December.  Christmas Cracker Slalom also at Blandford.

A reminder that the Club Championship ends on 31st October. If you have any additional results that you would like included in the Championship please ensure they are submitted to Steve Candy as soon as possible. Its too late once the tables have become finalised.

That’s it.
